Coming off its best performance of the season, the Southeast Missouri State University gymnastics team will try to improve its record to 9-2 as it faces Wisconsin-LaCrosse 1 p.m. today at Houck Field House.
The Otahks scored a 195.350 -- the third-best performance in school history -- and senior Ashley Godwin scored a perfect 10.0 on floor exercise last Saturday against Centenary.
Along with scoring just the sixth perfect score in Southeast history, Godwin scored a 9.925 on the uneven parallel bars to place her first all-time in that event.
Today's meet will be the next-to-last home performance of the season for the Otahkians, who close out their home schedule on Feb. 29 against Illinois State.
Tennis hits the road
Southeast's tennis squad tries to even its record this weekend with two matches in Peoria, Ill.
The Otahkians (0-2) face Bradley 2 p.m. today and Western Illinois 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
