The Southeast Missouri State volleyball team started another match strong, only to lose the momentum.
The Redhawks won the first game agianst the University of Connecticut, only to drop the next three at the Santo Bento Volleyball Invitational on Saturday in St. Louis.
The Huskies won the match 30-32, 30-26, 34-32, 30-24.
Southeast (3-6) suffered its fifth straight loss, going 0-3 in the tournament.
Brittany Hastings led Southeast with 20 kills while Aubrey Dondlinger and Brenna Schlader added 13 apiece.
Sarah Barth enjoyed a successful match with 51 assists, 11 kills and 10 digs.
Kate Seabaugh led Connecticut with 22 kills and 13 digs.
The Redhawks dropped their second match of the day, this loss coming to IUPUI, 3-1. Game scores were 30-18, 30-23, 25-30, 30-28.
Dondlinger and Schlader went to work again, finishing with 14 kills each. Karleigh DeLong added 13 kills and 11 digs.
The Redhawks open Ohio Valley Conference play Friday at Tennessee State.
