Seven pitchers signed during the early signing period to play baseball at Southeast Missouri State, it was announced Wednesday.

Central's Chase Hagerty is one of three high school seniors that signed to play for coach Steve Bieser. Hagerty posted a 1.43 ERA with 295 strikeouts in his first three years as a Tiger.

Valle Catholic's Daniel Bergtholdt and Dylan Givens from Marshall County High School in Benton, Kentucky, also signed as seniors.

Four junior college players also signed.

Left-handed pitcher Adam Pennington is a Shawnee High School graduate who plays at Three Rivers College. He also is the brother of former Southeast All-American pitcher Todd Pennington.

Clay Chandler will join the Redhawks after playing at Wabash Valley College, where he was a member of the Great Rivers Athletic Conference Championship team last season.

Joel Taylor transfers from Illinois Central College and Jared Waldhoff come from Kaskasia College. Waldhoff earned the Best Freshman award in the GRAC.
