The Southeast Missouri State baseball team clinched its league-record 18th straight Ohio Valley Conference tournament berth Friday.

Southeast did its part by beating visiting SIU Edwardsville 11-4 in the afternoon. The Redhawks' tournament spot was secured in the evening when Tennessee Tech lost to Austin Peay.

Southeast will be either the fifth or sixth seed for the six-team OVC tournament that begins Wednesday in Jackson, Tenn.

That will be determined after Saturday's results. The Redhawks end the regular season Saturday with a 1 p.m. senior day contest against SIUE.
