TULSA, Okla. -- Southeast Missouri State University's women's soccer team kept its record unblemished Sunday with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over host Oral Roberts on the final day of the Adidas Classic.
The Otahkians, who won both of their tournament games, improved to 8-0 on the season.
Southeast, which had allowed its first goals of the year during Friday's 3-2 win over Tulsa, broke a 2-2 tie Sunday on Marla Gianino's second goal of the game, an unassisted tally 21 minutes into the second half.
Gianino and Erika Todd scored unassisted goals in the first half to help the Otahkians open a 2-1 lead at the intermission.
Oral Roberts tied things 20 minutes into the second half, but Gianino came right back a minute later to put Southeast ahead to stay.
The Otahkians held an 18-11 edge in shots. Goalkeeper Beth Guccione made three saves.
Southeast will open Ohio Valley Conference play Friday at Eastern Illinois.
