Class 3 District 1 at Central

Teams: No. 1 Central, No. 2 Poplar Bluff, No. 3 Jackson, No. 4 Farmington

Schedule: Tuesday, first round -- Poplar Bluff vs. Jackson, 5 p.m.; Central vs. Farmington, 7 p.m.; Thursday, championship, 6 p.m.

Notes: Central has won the last three district titles. The Tigers have dominated second-seeded Poplar Bluff in the past two meetings. Despite losing nine of 11 starters from last year's state final four squad, Central has managed to put together a 15-9 record. Tickets for the district tournament will be $3, and passes will not be accepted.

Class 2 District 1 at Notre Dame

Teams: No. 1 Notre Dame, No. 2 Sikeston, No. 3 Lutheran South, No. 4 Hillsboro, No. 5 Windsor, No. 6 De Soto, No. 7 Fredericktown

Schedule: Today, first round -- Hillsboro vs. Windsor, 11 a.m.; Sikeston vs. Fredericktown, 1 p.m.; Lutheran South vs. De Soto, 3 p.m.; Monday, semifinals -- Sikeston-Fredericktown winner vs. Lutheran South-De Soto winner, 5 p.m.; Notre Dame vs. Hillsboro-Windsor winner, 7 p.m.; Wednesday, championship, 6 p.m.

Notes: Notre Dame nabbed the top seed despite bringing in a 10-12 record. Sikeston is the No. 2 seed after St. Pius moved down to Class 1. Notre Dame has blowout wins over Hillsboro and De Soto this season.
