In what is becoming a long season for the Blues, Friday's 7-2 loss to Edmonton was the roughest night yet.
"We're not a very competent team right now," Blues coach Mike Kitchen said after his team's seventh straight loss. "Tonight's game was the poorest we've skated as a team."
St. Louis (2-8-3) is in its longest losing streak since 1989.
"We're last in the league because we deserve to be last in the league," Blues defenseman Eric Brewer said. "We need to suck it up and play better hockey."
