The Southeast Missouri State volleyball team had its four-match victory streak snapped by Southern Illinois on Tuesday night.
Host SIU posted a three-game sweep, winning 34-32, 30-27, 30-21.
The Salukis are 5-5 while the Redhawks fell to 5-7.
Jessica Koeper, the reigning Ohio Valley Conference offensive player of the week, had 17 kills and 14 digs for the Redhawks. Brenna Schlader added 12 kills.
Jamie Baumstark recorded 28 assists, while freshman Molly Davis led in digs with 21. Freshman Taylor Harbster added 13 digs.
Johannah Yutzy paced the Salukis with 15 kills.
The Redhawks were coming off their first regular-season tournament title since 1999 as they captured the Memphis Invitational over the weekend.
Southeast, after playing its first 12 matches on the road, opens its home schedule Sept. 20 against Bradley in a 7 p.m. start at Houck Field House.
Southeast freshman forward Courtney Alexander has been named the Ohio Valley Conference offensive player of the week for women's soccer.
Alexander scored all three goals Sunday during a 3-0 win over Troy.
In Southeast's previous match, a 3-2 loss Friday at DePaul, Alexander recorded her first collegiate point with an assist.
The Redhawks (2-2) play at Memphis on Thursday night.
