Playing without its six suspended players, Central won its final regular season game 8-0 on Friday against visiting Scott City.

The win moved Central to 20-5 overall and 9-1 in the SEMO Conference.

Central assistant Terry Kitchen filled in for coach Steve Williams, who also was suspended.

Kory Kitchen picked up his first pitching decision of the season with a two-hit complete game. Kitchen struck out six and added a two-RBI double.

Brooks Osburn had two hits for the Tigers.

"I couldn't have been more pleased with the total team effort," Terry Kitchen said.

Scott City, which played as the home team since the game was originally scheduled for Scott City, finished its regular season 8-12.

Steven Dooley struck out 13 in a five-hit shutout for a road win.

Andy Hendrix led the Red Devils (9-14) with three hits. Chris Hanback, Brad Daugherty, Dooley and Korey Chapman had two hits apiece.

Oran 15, Kennett 13, 8 innings

Oran scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning and held on for an extra-innig win at Kennett.

After Caleb Seyer's towering pop fly was dropped to bring in the go-ahead run and prolong the inning, Kody Campbell decked a two-run triple.

Paul Bucher picked up the win in relief for the Eagles (20-4). He gave up two hits and two unearned runs in three innings but retired the final batter on a groundout to the catcher with the bases loaded.

Oran was charged with 10 errors that led to nine unearned runs.

Austin Dumey, Oran's starting pitcher, and Campbell each had three hits and two RBIs for the Eagles. Tyler Beardslee had two hits, Chris Asmus drove in three runs, and Seyer had a solo home run.

Oran also accepted 17 walks.

Chelsea Dale scored twice and added an assist in a road win.

The game was the final regular-season game for both teams, and also acted as the championship of the Farmington Tournament, which was postponed earlier this season due to weather.

Jenni Tenholder and Emily Dietl added goals for Jackson (15-6-2). Tenholder, Dietl and Rebecca Richbourg added assists. Kylie Werner recorded her ninth shutout.

Perryville fell to 13-8-1.

SOFTBALL Leopold 7, Saxony Lutheran 5

Casey Bucher was 4-for-4, with a home run, a double and three RBIs in a home win.

Leopold finished 9-3. Whitney Vandeven got the win on the mound. Cassie Seiler added three hits for the Wildcats and Erin Woodfin had two. Woodfin added a home run.

Courtney Shelton had two hits for the Crusaders.
