Shawnee improved to 13-2, Saxony fell to 11-4.

Saxony had only four hits, while Shawnee had nine hits.

Libby Brauss and Anna Wren both scored two goals for Notre Dame during its home romp.

BOYS GOLF Class 3 district

Notre Dame finished third in the Class 3 District 1 meet at Crown Pointe Golf Club in Farmington.

The Bulldogs tallied 359 to finish two strokes behind Dexter and 35 strokes behind Farmington.

The top team from district earned an automatic berth to the state tournament.

Top five teams — Farmington 324, Dexter 357, Notre Dame 359, Kennett 369, Fredericktown 380.
