Southeast Missouri State guard Phillip Russell announced via Twitter on Monday that he has entered the transfer portal.

Russell is coming off a season where he averaged 18.1 points per game and 5.1 assists a game leading the Redhawks to their first Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Championship since 2000.

In the post Russell said, ”First off I would like to say thank you Redhawk nation for taking me under your guy’s wing. I had the best two years of my life, and I’m thankful for you guys giving me a chance to compete here for two years. But with that being said, I will be entering my name in the transfer portal.”
