Fall courses set: After a successful winter program, Dr. Gary Eaton will offer a class on how to tie flies for local fisherman in the fall.

The class, which includes tips and tricks to tying many of today's popular fly patterns, will be held Tuesday evenings starting in September at the Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center.

Along with the fie-tying course, Michael Wells, president of SEMO Trout Unlimited, will offer Angling Appreciation 101 starting in the fall. Wells' course offers discussion on angling-related topics. Likely discussion subjects will include angling in Missouri, trout in America, smallmouth bass fishing, angling literature, angling history and sport fishing opportunities in Southeast Missouri.

The eight-week course will be from 6 p.m. to 8 beginning Sept. 18. For information contact the Career and Technology Center at 334-0826.
