MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Southeast Missouri State University's softball team dominated host Morehead State in a doubleheader Monday.

The Otahkians swept Morehead State 6-0 in the opener and 11-0 in the nightcap to improve to 11-11 overall and 6-3 in the Ohio Valley Conference.

Southeast pounded 11 hits in the first game and followed that with 12 in the second.

In the opener, Southeast's Christine Engelhardt (5-2) pitched all seven innings and earned the win. She allowed five hits, struck out three and walked none.

For Southeast, Jeni Gaines went 3-for-4, and Chris Shetley, Jenny Oermann and Kendra Williams each added two hits.

Debbie Schmelz (3-6) went the distance in the nightcap and earned the victory. She allowed three hits, struck out five and walked none.

Shetley went 4-for-4 with three RBIs, Williams 3-for-4 and Tami Hebert 2-for-3.
