The Southeast Missouri State softball team will look to maintain their lead in the Ohio Valley Conference standings with a series against UT Martin, starting on Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Southeast Softball Complex

It is the final home series of the season for SEMO, which will start with the program's alumni being recognized before first pitch. The series concludes with a doubleheader on Sunday starting at noon.

Should the Redhawks sweep the Skyhawks, SEMO will complete a perfect home record for the second straight season and extend its home winning streak to 30 games.

The Redhawks (24-11, 16-1) currently ride a 13-game OVC winning streak and are ahead of Eastern Illinois (15-2) and UT Martin (13-7). Their winning streak has been powered by the bats. The Redhawks have won six of their last 12 games by way of the run rule, lead the conference in batting average (.303), and are 13th in the nation in doubles per game.

The SEMO offense is also leading the OVC in league games in on-base percentage (.448), slugging percentage (.529), runs (115), hits (160), triples (7), doubles (30), RBI (104), walks (69) and total bases (237). With a .375 batting average, Zoe Schulte leads the SEMO squad that has eight hitters batting over .300 on the season. Another star slugger is Kat Sackett, who is batting .309 with a team-high 12 doubles.

The Redhawks are also dominant on the mound, leading the OVC in ERA behind the duo of Delaney Kell and Marisa Davis. Kell leads SEMO in wins with a 12-3 record and Davis leads the conference with a 0.99 ERA and averaging seven strikeouts over 10 games and five starts.

The Redhawks lead their all-time series against UT Martin, 71-47, and have won the last eight matchups. All three games can be viewed on ESPN+.
