Southeast Missouri State University's football team tapped Florida for six players Wednesday as coached Tim Billings announced the signing of 11 recruits.

Among the signees were Scottsdale, Ariz., 6-foot-5 quarterback Jack Tomco, who threw for over 2,100 yards and 16 touchdowns last season as a sophomore at Scottsdale Community College. He led Scottsdale to its first bowl appearance in over 20 years and was a preseason All-American. He's expected to compete with red-shirt sophomore Jeremy McDowell for the starting quarterback job.

The Indians also signed all-state running back Jamel Oliver of Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte, Fla. Oliver was considered a top 100 recruit in Florida.

The breakdown of other signees included four defensive linemen, two tight ends, a fullback, a wide receiver and a defensive back. Nine of the 11 players are high school seniors.
