SEMO BANK SLAMS SIKESTON

Shane Gibson blasted a two-out grand slam home run in the bottom of the fourth inning to help power SEMO Bank Cape Junior Legion to a 7-4 victory over Sikeston Friday.

SEMO Bank (15-4, 3-1 district) trailed 4-2 when Gibson launched his blast over the leftfield scoreboard at Cape Central High School.

Craig Ringwald posted the win, yielding six hits and six walks in six innings. He struck out three. Michael Minner pitched a hitless seventh for the save.

Tatum Kitchen collected three of SEMO Bank's nine hits and had an RBI. Gibson and Gabe Wunderlich each had a pair of hits.

SEMO Bank returns to action today when Fenton visits for a doubleheader.
