Southeast Missouri State University's softball team got back on the winning track Sunday as the Otahkians rolled past visiting Eastern Kentucky 9-3.

The Otahkians, who had lost both ends of Saturday's doubleheader to EKU, improved to 12-17 overall and 4-3 in Ohio Valley Conference play.

EKU fell to 16-22 overall and 5-1 in the OVC.

Jennifer Dippel (4-4) pitched all seven innings to notch the victory. She allowed seven hits and no earned runs while striking out two and walking one.

Southeast had 12 hits, led by a 3-for-3 performance by Courtney Eklund. Emmy Kisaka had two hits and drove in three runs while Kelsey White had two hits and Dawn Piantino added three RBIs.

Kim Sarrazin and Michelle Williams each had two hits for EKU.

The contest was tied 2-2 after three innings before Southeast broke things open with four runs in the fourth and three in the fifth.

Southeast visits Tennessee-Martin Tuesday in OVC play.
