Included among the 30 newcomers are four 1997 graduates of area high schools: Cape Central's Bobby Brune (quarterback), Marcus Lowe (wide receiver) and Andy Dunaway (wide receiver); and Jackson's Mike Gross (quarterback).

Gross and Dunaway have joined the squad as walk-ons.

The newcomers will have two days of practice today and Saturday before the veterans join them for full-squad workouts beginning Monday.

Southeast will practice twice daily until the start of school on Aug. 25. The season opener will be Saturday, Aug. 30, when NAIA Lambuth comes to Houck Stadium for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
