Scott City's Robert earns postseason softball honors

Scott City junior shortstop Lyndsie Robert led the list of local high school players to gain honors in the inaugural spring softball season, being named all-district, all-regional first team and all-state first team.

Robert helped lead the Rams to third place in the Class 1 state tournament.

Scott City finished its season with a record of 18-6 under first-year coach Kaitlin Zink.

Kennett coach Kevin McCaig was selected Coach of the Year. The Indians defeated Crest Ridge 15-5 to win the state title and finished the season with a record of 25-2.
