CHAFFEE -- Scott City jumped out to a 12-2 first-quarter lead and beat Kelly 54-37 in the championship game of the Chaffee Tournament Saturday night.

In other games Saturday, Delta beat Portageville 48-32 in the third-place game and Sikeston topped Chaffee 67-55 in the consolation final.

In the championship game, Becca Gowin's 14 points, Amy O'Brien's 12 and Alaina Smith's 11 paced a balanced Scott City squad. For Kelly, Ashley Dirnberger and Jennifer McNiell each had 11 points.

Scott City led 27-11 at halftime, but were outscored 28-27 in the second half.

In the third-place game, Delta led 13-4 after one quarter. A 26-19 advantage in the second half made the outcome comfortable.

For Delta (4-2), Amanda McDaniel had 15 points and Amanda Cook added 10.

In the consolation final, Chaffee was led by Stevie Burks' 18 points and Amy Burnett's 12.

Notre Dame 68, St. Vincent 25

PERRYVILLE -- Every Lady Bulldog scored in Notre Dame's easy road win on Saturday.

Notre Dame (6-1) led St. Vincent (1-5) 13-2 after one quarter and 31-9 at halftime.

Randi Senciboy led the Lady Bulldogs with 16 points. Jennifer Glueck and Melissa Maurer, who hit 3 3-pointers, each added 10. Sara Cissell led the Squaws with 12 points.

"We did some good things at times, and we were a little sloppy at times," said Notre Dame coach Jerry Grim.
