Scott City's boys captured first place and the girls took home third place during Thursday's season-opening track meet at East Prairie.
On the boy's side, Scott City's Craig Arnzen placed first in the high jump and triple jump, while Derek Gooden was part of the winning 3,200-meter and 1,600-meter relay teams and won the 300 hurdles.
Stephanie Essner and Beth Razer led Scott City's girls. Essner finished first in the 400 and helping the victorious 1600 relay. Razer aided the 3,200 relay and won the 800.
