JACKSON, Mo. -- Notre Dame clinched the SEMO Conference girls' soccer championship in a scoreless, double-overtime battle with second-place Jackson.
Jackson (11-1-1, 3-1-1) owes its only league loss to Notre Dame (10-2-3, 4-0-2).
Notre Dame goalie Katie Palmer and Jackson's Whitney Werner had shutouts.
Perryville 6, De Soto 0
DE SOTO, Mo. -- Ashley Blyzes scored a hat trick to lead Perryville (15-2-1) to a Jefferson County Conference win.
Ashly Hadler, Britney Weibrecht and Ashley Riney scored single goals for Perryville, 4-0 in the conference.
Amanda Nuyt had her 13th shutout with two saves.
Perryville's JV (5-4-4) won 2-0 on two goals from Riney.
BASEBALL
Notre Dame 6, South Pemiscot 5
STEELE, Mo. -- Junior right-hander Jared Jinkerson made his first varsity appearance in relief and came away with the win.
Jinkerson pitched the final two innings in relief of starter Scott Wittenborn, who allowed four hits over the first five innings. Jinkerson allowed one hit, struck out three and issued one walk.
Wittenborn went 4-for-4 with a double for the bulk of Notre Dame's seven hits.
Tied 4-4 entering the seventh inning, Notre Dame (12-3) scored twice. South Pemiscot (6-12) scored in the bottom of the inning.
Girls' Swimming
NOTRE DAME TAKES SECOND
ST. LOUIS -- Lindsay Kuper swam the 100-meter freestyle in 57.8 seconds to account for Notre Dame's lone first-place finish in a triangular meet.
Notre Dame finished second to John Burroughs, 163-88. St. Louis NotreDame had 86.
