Saxony Lutheran outscored its opponents at the Woodland Optimist baseball tournament 28-0 in a pair of mercy-rule victories Saturday.
Max Wieser threw a no-hitter at host Woodland in Saxony's opening game, an 18-0 five-inning win. Wieser struck out five and walked four.
Chris Roth, Peter Winningham, Casey Petzoldt and Ben Courtois had two hits apiece in the win.
In its second game, Saxony Lutheran shut out Oak Ridge 10-0 in six innings. Bret Steffens pitched three innings for the win.
The championship rounds of the tournament were rained out.
Dustin Roth, Chris Roth and Garrett Fritsche had two hits apiece for the Crusaders (8-6).
Leopold (6-7) dropped two in the Woodland Tournament, falling to Bell City 9-0 and East Prairie 18-1.
Cody Bailey threw a no-hitter for the Cubs, walking just one batter. Garrett McIntyre had two hits for Bell City in the win.

Central finished seventh out of 25 teams at the Springfield Invitational.
Hannah Kinder won the 50 free in 24.51 seconds, just missing the meet record. Kinder also blew away the field in the 100 with a winning time of 52.82 seconds.
Central's other top finish came in the 200 free relay, where the Tigers finished fifth. Relay members were Annie Wolpers, Jessie Baker, Katie Bowles and Kinder.

Jackson improved to 2-0 against district rival Central with a 3-1 win over the Tigers at the Farmington Tournament.
The Indians (11-5-2) were scheduled to play Perryville in the final of the four-team event, but the game was canceled due to high winds.
Hannah Kohm, Chelsea Dale and Katelyn Myracle scored for the Indians. Dale, Bobbi Jo Schlick and Lauren Drewett had assists.
Kylie Werner made five saves in goal for Jackson.
Lee Thomas scored for the Tigers (10-5) on an assist from Tierra Walker.
Perryville shut out host Farmington 5-0 in the tournament's opening game. Amber Hacker and Alicia Kueker had two goals apiece for the Pirates (11-5-1). Chelsey Marr added the other goal.
Marr, Nicole Gremaud and Jocelyn Moll had assists. Chastity Marr recorded her seventh shutout of the season.
Central led 1-0 on a goal from Heather Deisher in the first half of its game against Farmington when the game was called due to wind and weather conditions.
Meghan Orr assisted on the goal.
