The Saxony Lutheran girls soccer team opened its season with a pair of barnburners.
The Crusaders fell to Southern Boone County 2-1 in their season opener Friday.
Saxony followed that by playing Sacred Heart to a scoreless tie before falling 2-1 on penalty kicks Saturday.
Katie Winter scored for the Crusaders during the first half against Southern Boone. Regan Obermann earned the assist.
Lauren Hecht converted her penalty kick against Sacred Heart before the Crusaders dropped their second game in as many days.
Both Southern Boone and Sacred Heart were ranked in the preseason state poll.
