Rutledge will offer seminar at Buchheit

Alex Rutledge, a champion turkey caller and professional outdoorsman, will conduct a seminar for area turkey hunting enthusiasts 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Buchheit store in Jackson.

Rutledge's resume includes championship honors at the National Amateur Turkey Calling contest, the Missouri State Turkey Calling contest Champion and the Grand National Gobbling Championship.

Rutledge, who grew up in the Ozarks of south central Missouri, works for Hunter's Specialties, the world's largest manufacturer of hunting accessories. He assists with the design and field-testing of predator calls.

Rutledge will talk about calling as well as how to choose the right equipment and develop successful hunting strategies.
