ST. LOUIS -- Cardinals third baseman Scott Rolen, injured in a first-base collision with Los Angeles' Hee-Seo Choi on Tuesday, was placed on the 15-day disabled list Thursday with a sprained left shoulder.
The Cardinals recalled third baseman Scott Seabol, who was hitting .325 with eight home runs and 24 RBIs, from Triple-A Memphis.

The Cardinals will activate closer Jason Isringhausen today from the 15-day disabled list. Isringhausen chas been sidelined with an abdominal strain.
