Three of the nonconference games on Southeast Missouri State's men's basketball schedule released Tuesday will net the university $250,000.
Alabama-Birmingham, which the Redhawks visit Nov. 13 in their season opener, is paying Southeast $90,000.
Southeast is receiving $85,000 for playing at Arkansas on Nov. 24 and $75,000 for playing at Iowa State on Dec. 6.
That money will go toward the university's general athletic department revenue, as will the $275,000 the Southeast football team is getting for playing at Ball State in its season opener Sept. 2.
Last season, Dickey Nutt's first as Southeast men's basketball coach, the program netted the university $220,000 in guarantee-game revenue.
SMU, which Southeast visits Dec. 29, is a member of Conference USA, like Alabama-Birmingham.
But the SMU game is not a guarantee contest. It's part of a home-and-home series that will have SMU visiting the Show Me Center in 2011-12.
Also part of home-and-home series are games at Missouri-Kansas City on Nov. 20 and Southern Illinois-Carbondale on Dec. 8, along with a home contest against Arkansas State on Nov. 27.
"Getting these kinds of home-and-home series is great for our program," Nutt said. "We're really excited about having SMU come here next year."
Southeast reportedly had hoped to add former University of Tennessee player Josh Tabb to its roster, but that won't happen.
Sources said the NCAA has denied Tabb a final year of eligibility.
