The Southeast soccer team finishes its regular season today at Eastern Illinois.

The Redhawks, the two-time defending OVC tournament champions, need a win and some help to make the conference tournament.

Southeast (2-8-3, 1-4-2) is tied for eighth place in the nine-team OVC with five points (in conference play, teams are awarded three points for a win and one point for a tie).

Eastern Illinois (2-12-2, 2-4-1) is tied for sixth place, along with Jacksonville State. Both have seven points.

Six teams qualify for the OVC tournament. The only way the Redhawks get in is by winning today and having Jacksonville State lose to visiting Eastern Kentucky.

The only time the Redhawks failed to make the OVC tournament was during the program's inaugural season in 1999.
