The Southeast Missouri State volleyball team split a pair of matches Saturday at the Belmont Invitational in Nashville, Tenn.

The Redhawks (3-3) downed Samford 3-2 before losing to Central Arkansas 3-0.

Emily Hughes led Southeast's attack against Samford with 16 kills while Emily Maher added 15 in their team's 18-25, 25-21, 25-19, 19-25, 15-11 win. Amanda Rickhoff recorded 11 kills and Paige Dossey had 10.

Sarah Barth put up 48 assists while Molly Davis had 31 digs and Kelly Benacka 16.

Southeast dropped its second match, 25-18, 25-20, 25-14, against Central Arkansas.

Hughes and Brittney Kalinoski led Southeast with six kills apiece. Benacka had 12 digs and Davis 11.

Southeast recorded just one service ace in the second match.
