The Southeast Missouri State women's tennis team will shoot for a three-match winning streak today when the Redhawks resume Ohio Valley Conference play at 2 p.m. against visiting Tennessee Tech.

Southeast swept a pair of matches against Division II opponents early this week in Florida. The Redhawks improved to 7-6 overall, which surpasses their victory total from all of last season and is the program's best record since the 1997 squad went 13-9.

Under third-year coach Jay Pacelli, the Redhawks have improved from 1-21 to 6-13 to the current 7-6 mark.

"Our program is making progress, but we have to continue to work hard and improve," Pacelli said.

Southeast is 1-1 in OVC play.

Following today's match, the Redhawks will host nonconference foe Evansville at 2 p.m. Saturday.
