The Southeast Missouri State volleyball team dropped a five-game match at Tennessee-Martin on Thursday night.
UTM won 25-16, 18-25, 25-16, 17-25, 18-16. Both of the Skyhawks' Ohio Valley Conference victories have come against the Redhawks.
The Skyhawks improved to 4-17 overall and 2-7 in OVC play. They remained last in the 10-team league but trail ninth-place Southeast (5-13, 2-6) by just a half game.
Senior Claire Keaton led Southeast with 17 kills and 14 digs. Freshman setter Julie Shives also had a double-double with 41 assists and 15 digs.
Senior Emily Hughes and junior Paige Dossey both reached double-figure kills with 13 and 10, respectively.
Senior Kelly Benacka recorded 28 digs and senior Meagan Webb added 11 digs.
Southeast is back in action tonight at sixth-place Murray State (7-12, 3-5).
