Redhawk gymnasts place second at Bowling Green

Southeast Missouri State University posted its season-high team score in gymnastics with a 194.525 in a tri-meet at Bowling Green University in Bowling Green, Ohio on Friday.

The Redhawks finished second in the meet behind host Bowling Green, which scored a 196.100. Wisconsin-Oshkosh finished with a 187.950.

Tara Boldt won the all-around for the Redhawks with a 38.975. Lexie Hein finished third with a 38.875 and Katie Bloom was right behind her with a 38.800.

Alexis Traylor had the highest event score for Southeast with a 9.875 on the floor, good enough for third in the event. Boldt finished fifth on the floor with a 9.850.

Bloom scored a 9.825 in the bars and finished third. Boldt scored a 9.800 for fourth on the beam and finished second on the vault with a 9.775.

Southeast will be in action today at Kent State.

Redhawks tennis splits pair of matches at Wichita State

The Redhawks picked up their second win of the season in a split at Wichita State.

Southeast (2-3) managed to win just one set in a 6-0 loss to Missouri Valley Conference foe Wichita State, but bounced back for a 4-3 win over Oral Roberts.

Bryce Kristal, Daniela Garcia and Kim Roberts picked up singles wins for Southeast. The doubles team of Bryce Kristal and Drew Kristal won at No.1 doubles, and the No. 2 doubles team of Garcia and Ashley Hooper also won.
