Scott City senior Tyler Ward posted a triple-double to lead the Rams in a 64-55 victory against Scott County Central in the championship game of the Scott-Mississippi Conference tournament on Friday night at Kelly High School.
Ward, a 6-foot-9 center, scored 17 points, grabbed 18 rebounds and blocked 12 shots.
He helped the Rams (12-3) control the boards, pacing the way for a team total 43 rebounds. Mark Dannenmueller grabbed 10 rebounds to go with 12 points and Mark Johnston also had 10 rebounds to go with eight points.
Jeremy Schlosser led Scott City in scoring with 18 points, including three 3-pointers. He had five assists.
Daniel Holman led Scott County Central with 18 points. Chris Pullen and Jeremy Johnson also were in double figures for the Braves with 10 points each.
Kelly won the JV tournament 53-36 over Scott City.
