Play was suspended for nearly 4 1/2 hours because of rain in the morning, and sprinkles were present throughout the afternoon -- delaying third-round matches until this morning with quarterfinals to follow. Yip, from Calgary, Alberta, posted the largest margin of victory in the second rounds..

Yip is scheduled to face Billy Horschel, the stroke-play medalist who shot 60 on Monday, in the third round. With a birdie on the 17th hole, Horschel defeated David Merkow 3 and 1.

Oliver Fischer, a 17-year-old from England, defeated Jim Renner 1-up and will next face Jonathan Hodge, who was a 3 and 2 winner over John Hahn.

Matthew Swan defeated Ryan Posey and Trip Kuehne defeated Casey Watabu, both 2 and 1. Swan and Kuehne will meet today.

John Kelly beat Eddie Olson 4 and 3, and Jon McLean beat Dustin Johnson 2 and 1 to set up their third-round match.
