STILLWATER, Okla. -- Princeton University scored early and often against Southeast Missouri State's pitchers Friday.

The Tigers scored at least one run in each of the first five innings as they stomped the Indians 12-4 at Reynolds Stadium.

Princeton (1-0) banged out 15 hits and knocked out starter Jeffrey Hilz after just 1 1/3 innings. The Tigers scored four runs in the first, one in the second, two in the third and fourth; and three in the fifth.

Hilz allowed five runs on six hits and two walks.

Southeast (8-6) scored three in the third and one in the ninth.

Zach Borowiak had three hits and two runs batted in and was the only Indian with more than one hit.

Princeton catcher Casey Hildreth went 3-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored.

Ryan Quillian pitched six full innings to capture the win. He allowed three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out four.

Southeast had nine hits, but also left nine on base.
