NEELYVILLE — The Doniphan Dons got big games from Emmitt Jones and Max Owen to take a 57-44 win against Ozark Foothills Conference rival Neelyville Thursday night.

“Doniphan was able to convert offensively,” said Neelyville coach Brad Burdin. “We couldn’t hit shots like we normally do and just couldn’t get it done.”

Jones led the Dons with 21 points, while Owen added 12

The Tigers were led by a game-high 24 points from Casen Stephens.

Naylor 54, Zalma 46

At Naylor, the host Eagles soar to the win over Zalma.

“This is a good win for us since it is the last game of the season before going into districts,” said Naylor coach Ed Moore.

The Eagles were led by freshman Sam Rose (16 points) and Damian Thilman (14).

Campbell 61, Gideon 20

At Gideon, the visiting Camels rolled to a 41-point win against the Gideon Bulldogs.

“I thought our kids competed well tonight,” said Campbell coach Steve Fowler. “We did a better job handling the ball and turning Gideon’s mistakes into something positive on our end.”

The Camels were led by Sam Bunting (17 points) and Cole Townsend (14).

Malden 73, Holcomb 59

At Malden, the host Green Wave ascended to a win against the Holcomb Hornets.

“Tonight was a game we needed to win before we start districts on Monday,” said Malden coach Mike Kilgore. “It’s down to doing things right and playing good basketball. I hope we are ready for the challenges ahead. There aren’t any more days off from here on out. We need to only, and I mean only, focus on basketball the rest of the way.”

The Green Wave were led by Quamareous Farmer (29 points) and Marcus Burton (11).

Clarkton 92, Delta 73

At Delta, the visiting Reindeer proved to be the predator against the host Bobcats.

“It was a super fast paced game, but we were able to get out of their gym with a win,” said Clarkton coach Cole McBroom. “This late in the season, we’ll take a win any way we can.”

The Reindeer were led by Amauri Gorman (37 points), Owen Morgan (18), Clayton Godsey (13) and James Johnson (10).

Richland 55, Bloomfield 46

Bloomfield Wildcats endure a loss against the Richland Rebels.

The Wildcats were led by Ayden Hutchison with 11 points, while Law Graser and Kayden Craft each had nine.

The Rebels were led by Hunter Sanders (17 points) and Eric Williams (13).

GIRLS

Campbell 50, Naylor 45

At Campbel, the hos Lady Camels rode homecourt advantage to a win over Naylor.

“It was a very physical game,” said Campbell coach Laura Foster. “I’m glad we were able to come out on top.”

The Lady Camels were led by Darcy Broglin (22 points) and Mabrey Patrick (12).

The Lady Eagles were led by Chloe Mitchell (18 points) and Harley Sullivan (13).

“Campbell did a good job of getting the ball to their post player,” said Naylor coach Logan Foster. “We struggled to keep her from scoring. They’re a good team, but we definitely played right there with them.”

Neelyville 72, Kelly 44

At Benton, the visiting Lady Tigers dominated the Lady Hawks.

The Lady Tigers were led by Parker Ernst (22 points) and Ella Eaker (16).

Bloomfield 68, Clearwater 40

At Bloomfield, the host Lady Wildcats defended their home court against the Clearwater Lady Tigers.

The Lady Wildcats were led by Abbigail Heaton (20 points), Kaelyn Conner (15) and Kendall Phillips (13).

The Lady Tigers were led by Jeorgia Eaton (16 points) and Mackynlee Keister (11).

Chaffee 55, Puxico 18

At Chaffee, the visiting Puxico Lady Indians were routed by Chaffee.

“I don’t have much to say on this game tonight,” said Puxico coach Trent Copling. “We did not shoot well tonight and we were in foul trouble throughout the whole game.”

Adi Denny paced the Lady Indians with eight points.

The Lady Red Devils were led by Rayney Held (17 points), Ayne Held (13) and Malinah Robertson (12).
