The Ford and Sons Cape Girardeau Post 63 American Legion baseball team earned a split with host Sikeston on Wednesday.

Post 63 won the District 14 game 4-1, then lost the non-district nightcap 9-5.

Brady James singled home two runs and Blake Smith added a run-scoring single for Post 63 in the first game. Smith finished 2-for-3.

Garrett Stevens picked up the win on the mound, striking out two over seven innings.

Justin Myers and Adam Kelley both collected two hits in the second game. Tyler Glidewell drove in three.
