MALDEN, Mo. — The Portageville offense spread the wealth during a 49-0 win at Malden on Friday, October 6.

The Bulldogs (6-1) had five different players score touchdowns in the rout of the Green Wave (0-7).

“It was a solid game for us,” said Portageville coach Ian Penrod. “We executed in all three phases of the game and got a lot of contributions on offense. We’re happy we were able to get plenty of guys involved on offense to make us harder to defend.”

Jamarion Smith was a touchdown machine, rushing 14 times for 235 yards and finding the endzone four times, while Mason Adams was efficient and effective under center, completing 8-of-14 passes for 73 yards and three touchdowns without an interception.

Antonio Hickenbottom was another versatile weapon for the team, running for 71 yards and a touchdown on just four carries. Tim Hamilton, Beau-Hunter Warren and Aaron Dunlap each made touchdown catches.

Portageville will host Kelly (6-1), while Malden will travel to Hayti (0-6) on Friday, October 13.
