POPLAR BLUFF -- Poplar Bluff, which beat Notre Dame by 22 points in the championship game of the HealthSouth Holiday Classic in December, opened a 19-3 first-quarter lead and topped the Lady Bulldogs 59-40 at home on Monday.
Notre Dame (11-4), which trailed 32-21 at halftime, was able to cut the deficit to six points in the third quarter.
"We played hard, but we dug ourselves in a hole," said Notre Dame coach Jerry Grim.
Amy Hendricks paced Poplar Bluff with 19 points.
For Notre Dame, Rachael Schlosser scored 12 points and Jennifer Glueck added 10.
Kelly 51, Scott City 35
SCOTT CITY -- Kelly outscored host Kelly 32-17 in the second and third quarters and Ashley Dirnberger scored 16 points in the Lady Hawks' Scott-Mississippi Conference win on Monday.
Kelly held a 10-8 first-quarter advantage and led 27-17 at halftime.
"We haven't had a decent game since Christmas," said Scott City coach Randall White, whose team dropped to 8-4. "Kelly played well the middle two quarters. They're playing well right now."
Jennifer McNiell added 11 points for Kelly (12-3). For Scott City, Alaina Smith and Amy O'Brien each scored 10 points.
Woodland 54, Oran 47
ORAN -- Woodland saw three players score in double figures and posted a victory over Oran Monday night.
Julia Cutsinger and Lindsey Allmon each scored 11 points and Jessica Bollinger added 10 for Woodland.
Oran's Sara Heisserer scored a game-high 24 points and Lindi Prindle added 11. Oran fell to 1-8.
Woodland led 9-6 after the first quarter and 25-20 at halftime. The Lady Cardinals took a 35-32 lead into the fourth quarter and outscored Oran 19-5.
St. Vincent 45, Grandview 31
HILLSBORO -- Sara Cissell scored 14 points and Fara Galati added 11 in the Squaws' win at Grandview on Monday.
St. Vincent (7-7) held a 14-6 first-quarter margin and led 24-14 at halftime.
St. Vincent made 13 of 27 free throws, while Grandview shot only two, making one.
