The Poplar Bluff Mules had their winning streak snapped on Tuesday as they fell to the visiting Notre Dame Bulldogs, 3-0.
The game was steady for for a good chunk of the first half before the Bulldogs found the back of the net and then added two more goals to go up 3-0 at the break.
Neither team would find the net in a physical second half.
The Mules still have a few weeks of regular-season play left until they look toward the Class 3, District 1 Tournament.
Poplar Bluff hosts Hillsboro on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. before they hit the road next week to take on Saxony Lutheran.
The Mules host Marion (Ill.) on Oct. 12 then have a battle with Jackson on Oct. 16 at the home of the Indians.
