FARMINGTON, Mo. — The Poplar Bluff baseball Mules fell to Farmington 11-1 on Wednesday, with errors proving to be the Mules’ demise against the Knights.
Farmington jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first frame and added to their lead in each inning to end Poplar Bluff’s day in five innings.
The Mules’ lone run came in the top of the fourth on an RBI single from Marcus Tabenera. Tabenera finished with two hits on the day, while Kayson King had a double and a run for Bluff. Bryce Dobbs also added a hit in the loss to go with a stolen base.
Poplar Bluff is scheduled to take on the Knights again on Monday with the first pitch at 4:30 p.m. in Farmington.
