With the Cardinals leading the Chicago Cubs by 16.5 games in the NL Central, tickets for the league division series and league championship games are set to go on sale Sept. 22 in St. Louis.
The St. Louis Cardinals announced Tuesday that Major League Baseball had given approval to begin selling the tickets at 8 a.m. that day. Fans can line up starting at 6 p.m. on Sept. 21.
The Cardinals could possibly host as many as three division games between Oct. 5-11 and four championship games between Oct. 13-21.
The Cardinals said about 14,000 tickets would be available for each of five division series games and 13,000 tickets would be on sale for each of seven league championship series games.
Each fan can buy up to 12 tickets per game in three ways: by visiting the Busch Stadium ticket office, by calling the Cardinals' phone lines at 314-421-2400, or on the Internet at http://www.stlcardinals.com.
