Perryville turns back Scott City

Scott City outhit Perryville but fell six runs short in a 13-7 home loss Tuesday in high school baseball action.

Jonathon Barr and Seth Ward each had three hits for Scott City (1-3),.

Scott City had 13 hits overall, while Perryville had 11.

Cory Buerck had three hits and pitched a complete game for Perryville (7-2). The Pirates had five triples, including two by Shaun Roth.

Molly Hartmann scored twice and added an assist as Jackson won at Marion, Ill.

Alecia Howard and Elizabeth Nussbaum also scored for Jackson (6-3-1). Rebecca Richbourg, Stacy Streor and Randi Kraust added assists. Kylie Werner and Logan Johnson had the shutout.

St. Vincent 180, Herculaneum 185

St. Vincent improved to 3-0 in Jefferson County Conference play with a five-stroke victory at Perryville Country Club.

Zachary Richardet was medalist, shooting a 6-over-par 41 for the Indians (3-1). Danny Rellergert (45), Grant Pingel (46) and Patrick Sigmund (48) rounded out the scoring.
