PERRYVILLE -- Amanda Schumer scored on a penalty kick at the 60-minute mark as Perryville salvaged a 2-2 tie with Jackson in girls soccer action on Tuesday.

Perryville (16-5-4) took a 1-0 lead into halftime on a goal by Stacy Baer, who scored off a pass from Schumer.

Jackson (14-4-4) came back with a pair of goals by Lacie Hodo in the first 15 minutes of the second half. Kerrie Gordon assisted on the first goal while Dana Wright assisted on the second.

"With Perryville it's always a good physical game," said Jackson coach Bonnie Knowlan. "The first half we didn't play very well, but the second half we played the way we need to play."

Jackson returns to action Thursday when Carbondale visits.
