Perryville won its third straight game with a 27-26 come-from-behind victory Friday at De Soto.
The Pirates, who started the season 0-4, improved to 3-4 heading into their district schedule next week. Perryville's winning streak was in jeapordy early against De Soto when the Pirates went down 20-9 by halftime.
Behind the passing of quarterback Corey Buerck, the Pirates made a second-half comeback. Buerck completed 12 of 20 passes for 207 yards. Wide receiver Kirk Luckey had a key touchdown reception, and Matt Unterreiner and Buerck had rushing touchdowns.
Andrew Yamnitz kicked a 35-yard field goal, his second of the game, with 42 seconds remaining to win the game.
VOLLEYBALL
Bell City 25-25, Oran 17-12
Bell City rolled to a sweep of visiting Oran to improve to 17-8.
Andreia Wondel led the way with six kills, six digs and three aces. Katie Niemczyk added four kills and 13 digs, and Whitney Abner finished with 16 assists, three aces and four digs.
Bell City won the JV match 25-12, 25-21.
Advance 25-25, Woodland 11-19
Advance (23-5), ranked fourth in the SEMO Top 10, powered past host Woodland in two games in a Stoddard County Conference match.
Dana Williams led Advance with 13 kills and one block. Alicia Broushuis had six digs and Leslie Rainey had 11 assists.
Siara Roberts had five kills for Woodland (2-18).
Advance won the JV match 25-15, 21-25, 25-23.
Notre Dame 25-25, Bloomfield 6-13
Kristin Boos served 17 straight points, including seven aces in the first game, and Notre Dame defeated Bloomfield easily.
Sommer McCauley had six assists and three kills for Notre Dame.
Notre Dame's JV won 20-25, 25-15, 26-24.
Eagle Christian 14-25-15, New Life 25-20-11
Eagle Ridge Christian defeated New Life in three games.
Rachel Carbaugh had one ace and 10 kills for Eagle Ridge (17-4-4). Savannah Irzzary had one ace and six kills and Autumn Crowden had one ace, one block, one dig and seven kills.
Eagle Ridge's JV lost 18-25, 20-25.
OTHERS
Central's freshman football team is 4-2 after defeating Sikeston 19-6. Tyler Terry ran for two touchdowns and John Evans ran for one. Hakeem Hammond had an interception.
