FARMINGTON — Two Poplar Bluff High School girls golfer hit Crowne Point Golf Club in Farmington on Monday for the MSHSAA Class 3 State Golf Championships.
Lady Mule junior Olivia Thetford and sophomore Rhyan Waddell are each playing in their second-straight state tournament as both made it last year as well.
Nevada’s Emree Cameron is leading the field at 5-under while Parkway West’s Kylie Secrest is right behind her at 4-under.
St. Dominic is currently leading the team championshup at 44-over while Rockwood Summit is second at 61-over. Westminster is right behind them at 62-over.
Thetford is currently tied for 17th as she fired a 7-over on the day. Waddell is tied for 25th as she shot an 83.
Notre Dame’s Grayson Mauer is currently tied for 11th at 6-over with with fellow Lady Bulldog Elizabeth Barnette tied for 35th with an 85 as the only other golfers from Southeast Missouri.
Thetford will tee off at 9:33 a.m. from No. 1 while Waddell will tell of at 10 a.m. from the 10th tee box.
The final group tees off at 10:09 a.m. from the first tee.
