The Panthers (11-5) made 24 of 29 field goals, including four of eight 3-pointers, in the second half to climb out of a 12-point third-quarter deficit. They beat Scott City for the second time this season, duplicating the decision that belied the seedings in the first round of the Southeast Missourian Christmas Tournament.

Meadow Heights' Terry Wagner led all scorers with 30 points, including six of the Panthers' eight 3s. Anthony Bollinger added 27, and Heath Fulton scored 11 for Meadow Heights.

Wagner and Bollinger each scored more than 20 points in the second half.

Alex King scored 18 points for Scott City (9-9). Ryan Modglin scored 15, Rynn Eskew had 12 and Andy Stephens and Ethan Watkins scored 10 apiece.

Jackson outscored Caruthers-ville 20-5 in the second quarter to secure a home SEMO Conference win.

The two teams were tied at 16-16 after one quarter before the Indians took control in the second quarter.

Aaron Redecker led Jackson with 18 points, Kyle Pridemore had 15 and Hunter Grantham had 13.

In a game that involved a collective 49 fouls and nine fouled-out players, New Salem Baptist Academy of Marble Hill came out on top against host New Life Christian of Branson, Mo.

New Salem had defeated New Life in the Missouri Christian Schools Athletic Association Class 1A state championship last season.

Five players fouled out for New Life, which finished the game with three players on the court. New Salem utilized its seventh-graders to fill in for its dismissed players.

Sarah Green scored 26 points for New Salem (10-2).
