PADUCAH -- Paducah Legion recorded an 11-6 victory over Cape Girardeau's Ford & Sons American Legion 11-6 Tuesday night.

Ford & Sons fell to 2-2 on the season.

Cape scored six runs on just five hits, while Paducah scored 11 runs on nine hits.

Justin Welker suffered the loss, going five innings and allowing four runs, two earned, on four hits and five walks. He struck out four.

Jon Snider had two hits and one run batted in for Cape. Rob Carr pitched the last three innings for Cape.

HARRISBURG -- The Cape Riverdogs dropped to 1-3 on the season with a loss to Saline County (Ill.).

The Riverdogs suffered the loss despite outhitting Saline County 11-8.

Ross Bennett went 4-for-4 for the Riverdogs, while Brandon Talbot had three hits, three runs scored and one RBI.

Michael Minner suffered the loss in eight innings. He allowed 10 runs, six earned, on eight hits and two walks. He fanned two.

The Riverdogs led 2-0 after the first inning and 5-4 after the sixth but couldn't hold on.

The Riverdogs will play at Fulton in a doubleheader Sunday.
