OVC honors Austin Peay's Armistead

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. -- Austin Peay's Brooke Armistead is the Ohio Valley Conference's player of the week.

Armistead, a 5-foot-9 junior guard, scored a career-high 39 points in Austin Peay's 78-69 loss to Middle Tennessee. In the Lady Governors' 89-65 loss to Florida State, she shot 43.8 percent from the field.

Tennessee Tech's Jason Harrell has been named the OVC's Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Harrell, a 6-foot-8 sophomore, had 39 points and nine rebounds in Tech's two wins last week.
