CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- The Southeast Missouri State University volleyball team suffered its fifth Ohio Valley Conference loss of the season here Friday night as host Austin Peay squeezed out a five-game victory.
Austin Peay prevailed 5-15, 16-14, 18-16, 5-15, 15-11 as the Lady Govs improved to 17-10 overall and 11-5 in OVC play.
Southeast fell to 18-10 overall and 10-5 in OVC play as the Otahkians fell into fourth place in the league. Southeast has won the past five OVC regular-season championships.
Jackie Derwort and Krista Haukap both had 21 kills for Southeast. Angie Aschoff added 18.
Kim Smith paced Austin Peay with 20 kills.
The Otahkians play at Tennessee State today.
